Welcome to our Wrightsville Beach Penthouse! This cozy house is perfect for your family's next vacation or couples retreat. Top floor 3 bed 2 bath home located on a quiet road just off of the downtown Wrightsville strip - the views are truly special and the location is hard to beat. Watch the sunrise from the ocean view deck with a cup of coffee, enjoy a day at the beach, and walk to buzzing restaurants all within 100 yards. We adore our home and hope to share the experience with you!

Good to know

Our home's lot is the highest point on Wrightsville beach which allows for views of both the ocean as well as the sound. Friends call it the "Penthouse" as it takes up the entire top floor of our building. Given the height and elevation, the views are truly remarkable. Our home is located just off the main downtown Wrightsville strip with one of the more popular beach accesses just at the end of our road (~50 yards from our front door). In addition, the proximity to the main restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, local groceries, surf shops, and rental stores all within 100 yards makes this is the most convenient location on the island! We offer up to 3 parking spots for guests. Our home has one of the larger parking areas for a residential home in Wrightsville. It is shared with the 2 lower units, but we provide half of the lot marked with a "3" for our guests. Seamless entry with key-less front door code makes your arrival a breeze. The outdoor shower is refreshing and convenient, available for all guests to use, and we ask that you always rinse off your sandy feet at the hose or shower before entering the house! There are 3 well appointed bedrooms, two with queen beds and the third with a double and a bunk bed for up to 8 total guests, ideal for 2 couples with kids, a large family, or a group of friends. We offer a single memory foam mattress pad for additional sleeping arrangements. The linens are fresh, crisp, and beautifully created around coastal themes, and the pillows and mattresses are comfortable and protected with regularly updated protectors. The well stocked kitchen is ready for you to cook in, and some basics such as spices, olive oil, sugar, flour, etc are left for your use. We allow guests to use the grill - with great caution due to fire hazards - but ask that if you happen to finish the propane tank that you refill/replace it (convenience store to fill the tank is <5 minutes away). The bathrooms are stocked with some basic amenities including toilet tissue, soaps and 2 hairdryers, and there is a first aid kit in the main hallway bathroom closet. You have access to wifi and the living room TV is a smart TV with all the relevant streaming services for your convenience. You may also watch from the collection of DVDs, play games and do puzzles, or read and magazines books from our selection. Bring your personal items + some groceries and everything else is taken care of!

Other Details to Note

You will need to walk up 2 flights of stairs to access our unit on the top/3rd floor. Please rinse your feet on the ground level when coming from the beach.

Neighborhood

Everything you could need is a stone's throw away! The little downtown area offers great ice cream shops, pizza, burgers, great restaurants, and surfing and beach needs. Aussie Rentals has an array of bikes and boards for rent. Wrightsville beach is very active community, and if you would like to exercise outside of the beach area, there is easy access to Wrightsville Beach Park a short stroll away. You will see this park driving onto the island and it offers public access to basketball courts, tennis courts, fields, and a small outdoor calisthenics gym. Surrounding this park is what is known as "The Loop", a 2.5 mile running (or walking) loop around the heart of Wrightsville. You will see plenty of people walking dogs, jogging, etc. Stop in at the Wrightsville beach museum or visit the Monday Farmers Market through the summer months. It is an easy drive off of Wrightsville to get to larger stores such as Harris Teeter, pharmacies, Mayfair Mall, and restaurants, and the wonderful fish market called Motts Channel. The large draw bridge takes you over the Intracoastal waterway, which is very scenic and offers some great seafood restaurants with views just a short drive away. Towards the southern end of the island (a fun bike ride or longer walk) is another surf shop, "Southend Surf Shop", with a cool coffee, smoothie and snack shop upstairs, called Sundays . The Oceanic Restaurant offers sea view dining and The Blockade runner resort offers great brunches and water activities such as sailing. There is so much more that this buzzing beach resort has to offer so come and discover for yourselves. The following are just steps down the road: Restaurants -------------- Tower 7 - Mexican food all day, coffee bar and breakfast burritos in the morning. Vito's - Great for a quick slice of pizza, or a pie for the whole family. Neptunes - Seafood and American fare as well as all-day breakfast! Jerry Allen's - Sports bar, burgers, etc. Great specials on certain days. The workshop - Coffee and breakfast fare South Beach Grill - Indoor and outdoor seating Kohls - Ice cream The Trolley Stop-famous hotdogs Groceries ------------ Robert's Market - Offers the basics and more, as well as sandwich deli in the back, a smoothie/healthy food bar, and a great art store with the option to take an art class with Jazzy Harris Teeter - 5 min drive just over the bridge. Fresh Market- Mayfair shopping area Loveys- organic foods specialty store Hallelu Boutique-unique clothing Shopping ------------- Wings - All of your quick and easy beach needs. Sweetwater Surf Shop - Local surf shop vibe, attire, boards, etc. Aussie Island Surf Shop - Rentals (boards, SUP's, bikes, kayaks, etc). Guest Access

Guests can access the entire "Penthouse". Please be respectful of our neighbors on the lower floors. They are very friendly! Walk up the street ~50 yards to the beach access. Walk down the street ~50 yards to the main street for shopping, restaurants, bars, local groceries, surf shops, rentals, and more.

Andrew was a great host. He gave us clear instructions for our stay. This house is SO well stocked with all of the pots and pans, utensils, spices and detergents. The view is incredible. And you really can’t beat the proximity to all of the restaurants, ice cream stand, and beach. So nice not to have to cart our things. The outdoor shower was great for washing off before coming back inside. The street was quiet at night so my kids were able to sleep. We did put a suction cup shade over the window in the kids bunk room so they didn’t wake with the dawn, but we always have to do that at the beach. Just a consideration for families reading this with little ones! Also highly recommend WB guppies surf camp. The drop off was 5 mins away. We went to Wrightsville beach park on scooters and really enjoyed the free concerts! This place is central to everything. A true gem!

This place was amazing! We stayed here to bring our toddler to the beach for the first time and this was the PERFECT place. Roomy, clean, and close to the beach. There is even an outdoor shower to help get clean from all the sand. We want to come back next year!

The condo was more than we hoped for! Location was amazing, interior is roomy and bright with plenty of seating. We spent most of the time on the deck looking out at the beach! It was so close and a 1 minute walk. Three bedrooms gave us plenty of space for our family. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. So appreciative of Andrew and this lovely home.

This place is outstanding. The space, view, comfort, parking, neighbors, access to the beach, visibility of the beach, Andrew, amenities, etc. It's how an Airbnb should be. If you bring something and want to share it with the next guests, you are encouraged to do so. They have all the things you need like: gallon of water, bag of ice, oil, salt, pepper, all kitchen supplies, shampoo, conditioner, koozies, bedding, towels, beach towels, chairs, five tall chairs on the deck so you can see the ocean....you name it, they provide it. Andrew is a fantastic host, responsive, kind, helpful. We can't wait to come back. Thank you for such an enjoyable weekend!
